As an artist the practice of Anna Tekampe involves video, installation, writing - and drawing as a permanent exercise. Often she uses body forms as a resource material - which she combines to other objects and to which she adds social, philosophical and also personal research. The quote of Augustinus „I have become a question to myself" - “quaestio mihi factus sum“ (Confessiones IV, 4.9) can be seen as a leading word for her. Her current work is focused on text, drawing and sculpture.
Recently Tekampe focuses on emotional landscapes and questions of intuition and body politics. She creates her very own pictorial universe, her own iconography in wich she deals with pain in form of her personal iconography.

Anna Tekampe is a researcher, artist and scientist based in Germany. She is especially interested in phenomenological research and phenomenology of the body.
